Trinity Term 2025

Trinity Term 2025

Letter from the Director, introducing Trinity Term 2025

Dear Friends of St Theosevia’s,

Welcome to Trinity Term. The events this term differ from the usual pattern. At the end of Noughth Week, on Friday 25 and Saturday 26 April, St Theosevia’s is joining with the House of SS Gregory and Macrina, next door at No 1 Canterbury Rd, and with Regent’s Park College, in a two-day event exploring devotion to Our Lady, St Mary, in the tradition of the Ethiopian Orthodox Church. For details and registration see opposite.

Following the enjoyable Garden Party last Trinity Term, with plenty of Pimms, strawberries, and learned input on ‘salt’, we will celebrate a second Garden Party on Saturday 14 June (Seventh Week), with more Pimms and a dramatized early Syriac Dialogue Sermon with Dr Sebastian Brock. Financial contributions, and cake, welcome! If you can bring cake, please liaise with David Rytz.

Last Term we had two very different Study Days, each leading to intense discussion: an exploration of the theological and ethical aspects of Artificial Intelligence, and a presentation on the life, work, and artistic gifts of Saint Maria of Paris, member of the French Resistance, martyred on 31 March 1945 in Ravensbrück.

Let us continue to pray and work for just and lasting peace.

LIZ CARMICHAEL
